Welcome to Bizbie

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) explain your rights and responsibilities when using the Bizbie platform. By accessing or using Bizbie, you agree to follow these Terms. If you disagree, you must not use the platform.

Who We Are

Bizbie is a global platform that helps people find, book, and recommend businesses in their community. We connect customers, businesses, and BizReps through verified, community-led discovery. You can use Bizbie to browse listings, make purchases or bookings, and share recommendations.

Who Can Use Bizbie

  • You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your location. If you are under 18, you may only use the platform with the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
  • Bizbie may remove or restrict your account at any time for violating these Terms.

How You Can Use the Platform

You agree not to:

  • Break any laws or regulations
  • Post false, harmful, or misleading information
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated systems
  • Interfere with how Bizbie works or looks
  • Harass, impersonate, or abuse others
  • Circumvent fees or direct users away from Bizbie
  • Engage in fake transactions or reviews

We can remove content, limit access, or terminate accounts without notice if we believe a rule has been broken.

Platform Availability

Bizbie is provided as-is and as-available. We do not guarantee that the platform will always work perfectly. We are not responsible for any outages, bugs, delays, or content loss. Your use of Bizbie is at your own risk.

Business Accounts

Businesses are responsible for:

  • Creating honest and accurate listings
  • Fulfilling bookings and customer expectations
  • Handling refunds, disputes, and cancellations
  • Following local laws and licensing rules

Bizbie charges businesses $9.99 USD per month after a 14-day free trial. This subscription auto-renews each month unless cancelled before the next billing date. No refunds are given for partial months.

A 6 per cent customer service fee is added to each transaction. This includes payment processing costs. We may change pricing or fees with 30 days’ notice.

BizRep Accounts

BizReps are independent users who support business onboarding and promote Bizbie. They are not employees. BizReps may earn commissions for referring businesses that subscribe. Bizbie does not guarantee commissions, renewals, or permanent status.

BizReps must follow our code of conduct. Misconduct may lead to removal, commission loss, or legal action.

Listings and Content

By uploading content, you give Bizbie permission to use, display, and share that content across the platform and in promotional materials. This license is worldwide, royalty-free, and permanent. You still own your content, but Bizbie can use it.

Bizbie can remove or block content at any time, for any reason, without having to explain.

Recommendations and Reviews

Only customers who complete a booking or purchase can leave a recommendation. These must be based on real experiences. Reviews should be respectful, honest, and free of harmful or misleading statements.

We may remove reviews that appear fake, manipulated, or inappropriate.

Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Bizbie does not store your card details. Customers should contact the business directly to request a refund. Bizbie is not responsible for refund disputes between customers and businesses.

Chargebacks and payment disputes may lead to delayed payouts, account review, or permanent bans for users who abuse the system.

We use trusted third-party services to process payments and support core platform features. These include Stripe for payment processing, Google Maps for location-based discovery, and QR code generation tools to support user sharing. By using these features, you agree to their separate terms and privacy policies. Bizbie does not control how these third-party providers collect, use, or store your information.

Intellectual Property

You may only upload content that you own or have the right to use. If you believe your intellectual property has been used without permission, you may contact us with a takedown request.

Bizbie owns all logos, designs, software, branding, and layout used on the platform. You may not copy or reuse any part of Bizbie without our permission.

If you believe that your copyrighted material has been used on Bizbie without permission, you may request its removal by contacting help@bizbie.com. Please include a description of the content, the location on the platform, proof of ownership, and your contact details. We will review and, if appropriate, remove the content.

Fraud and Abuse

Fraud, scams, and abuse are not tolerated. This includes:

  • Creating fake accounts
  • Faking transactions or reviews
  • Misleading customers or BizReps
  • Circumventing platform rules

Violations may result in account bans, withheld payments, and legal action. We may report serious fraud to the authorities.

Disputes and Liability

Customers and businesses must resolve most issues between themselves. Bizbie may choose to step in, but is not required to. If you have a problem with another user, you agree to try resolving it directly first.

If you have a legal dispute with Bizbie, you agree to resolve it through binding arbitration in Alberta, Canada. These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. You waive your right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class action.

International Use

Bizbie is used globally. You are responsible for following local laws, paying your own taxes, and ensuring your content is permitted in your country.

We comply with data privacy rules like the GDPR. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

Termination

Bizbie may close or suspend your account at any time if:

  • You break these Terms
  • You violate local laws or platform policies
  • You behave in ways that harm our community or reputation
  • You stop using the platform for an extended time

If your account is terminated, you lose access to your content and listings. Any unpaid obligations may still apply.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bizbie and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost business opportunities, or reputational harm.

Our total liability to you will not exceed:

  • For Customers: $100 USD or the total service fees paid by you in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, whichever is less
  • For Businesses: $120 USD or the total business subscription fees paid to Bizbie in the 12 months before the event, whichever is less
  • For BizReps: $50 USD, regardless of commissions or promotional status

These limitations apply regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise.

Your Responsibility to Us

You agree to protect Bizbie if your actions cause harm. This includes paying for legal costs, losses, or damages that result from:

  • Breaking these Terms
  • Violating any laws
  • Infringing someone else’s rights
  • Misusing the platform or content

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email, app notification, or an alert on the platform. It is your responsibility to review the latest version. By continuing to use Bizbie after any update, you agree to the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform immediately.

Third-Party Platform Compliance

If you access Bizbie through a third-party platform, such as the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Meta (Facebook), you must comply with their respective terms and usage rules in addition to these Terms. Bizbie is not responsible for any actions, restrictions, or policies imposed by those third-party services.

Changes to the Platform

We may add, remove, or change features of the platform at any time. We may also limit or restrict access to certain tools or services for business, legal, or technical reasons. These changes may be made without prior notice.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the platform. You may request deletion of your data by contacting help@bizbie.com. Some data may be retained after account closure to meet legal, tax, fraud prevention, or regulatory obligations, as permitted by law.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Bizbie is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the platform will always be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for your specific needs. Your use of the platform is at your own risk.

No Guarantee of Listings or Outcomes

Bizbie verifies business documentation before listings go live, but we do not manage, fulfil, or guarantee the products or services offered on the platform. Each listing is created and maintained by the business itself.

By using Bizbie, you agree that:

  • You make purchases and bookings at your own risk
  • Bizbie does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, availability, or outcome of any listing
  • Bizbie is not responsible for missed bookings, unsatisfactory experiences, or business conduct
  • All transactions and results are solely between you and the business

We conduct basic verification to support community trust, but do not promise or endorse the reliability of every listing beyond that process. Bizbie is not a party to any transaction between customers and businesses.
